can i take my council to court?
hi
i live in private rented accomodation and have been off work sick for a few months.in july housing benefit told me that i did not qualify for housing benefit.on the 19 august i was given notice to quit by my landlord who was advised by housing benefit to do this.a week before i was due to leave my property i phoned the housing benefit office in one last attempt to sort this out, which they then realised that they had not looked at my wage slips even though they had them on file and had worked my benefit out on the basis that i was earning a full wage instead of ssp.they now have agreed to pay back £1700 to the land lord which backdates to july, but now me my wife and 2 children are homeless all because of the rent arrears which was housing benefits fault and have admitted to
i also have evidence of them admitting to this are there any solicitors out there who would now if i have a good case

how long does it take home office to make a dicsion on asylum aplication?
if you are on immgration control and have a child with a british birth certficate why is that you can not claim benefits. As an asylum seeker and still wating for a dicsion to be made why is it you can not work or claim benefits how are you supposed to survive especialy with a under 2years old baby

Can i take the Child Benefit Office to court ?
My wife agreed to let me be the fulltime career of our two children. At the begining of September last year i sent in an application to have the child benefit changed from her name into mine which she agreed as i wasn't working.
I havnt herd from them at all regarding anymore information and everytime i phoned up they told me that because there was a rival claim that the department it had been passed to could take upto 16 weeks to sort out.
16 weeks ended on the fourth of january 2010 and since then i have been put on nothing but 5 day call backs and still herd nothing. i in November filled out there complaints policy procedure and i never recieved any conformation from them that they recieved it.
With out the child benefit number i am unable to apply for anything else. my cchildren are the ages of 5 and 3 and i have had to move in with my parents temporarely untill it gets sorted.
I have had to beg borrow and steel from my family and thats without the 5 months of bills i havn't been able to pay.
I am a sufferer of depression, and it has taken a huge effect on me and no matter how hard i try to explain to the CHB about the situation i'm in all i get is "everyone is BUSY or everyone is PRIORITY.
I am now at the point where my parents are now unable to continue supporting me as it has hit them finacially too. Can anyine give me some advice please

The sick New Labour government removes the disability benefits from a disabled child, because "she's doing so well in school", so she's not disabled enough. Meanwhile the sick New Labour government keeps the layabouts on incapacity benefit to buy their votes in the forthcoming general election.
