Are people making it an occupation to have more and more children to get tax credits etc?

It seems to me that Labour are encouraging people to produce more children by giving them tax credits and higher child benefits to the detriment of the single tax payer. Do we really want to keep other people's offspring, if they can't afford them they shouldn't have them in my opinion.

Have been told to apply for Income support. 1 adult and 3 children – what is the “rate” am new to DHSS system?

Worked all my life and reduced to this. My daughter thinks there must be another way as she is at college and says she will now have to attend a weekly meeting if we go on benefit. Unfortunatley current circumstances have forced this situation and I feel terrible going onto beneifit as it is. She says I'm letting the family down if I go onto benefit - I can't win - but we have to eat. It will be as temporary as it can be as I intend to apply for every job going. My daughter also works P/T after college and at w/e - I've brought her up to feel work is vital and not be a scrounger - and here I am now - a scrounger !! I feel like a hypocite

How much will we get for 1 adult and 3 children please. The thought of sitting in these open plan offices baring my sole is too much to bear

Do you believe that ALL adults should be responsible by their actions in showing children what is decent?

behaviour in treating others. Regardless of whether they are a parent/teacher or anyone considered in authority. This includes those on benefits, the IT worker/office worker, any adult.

Not just in life but also on the internet too...our children DO have access to the internet and therefore even with a parents best intentions, every member of society should set an example.

I am aware I am sounding like !disgusted from Tunbridge Wells "or a tutting granny, I am neither just disheartened by the juvenile behaviour of some adults.
Consensus then but what are we going to do about it?

Why should people without children subsidise those who breed like rabbits?

Many people have large families and the government throws money at them every time they produce another sprog. Some families get over £35,000 a year in benefits...paid for by ordinary tax payers. family allowance, or child benefit or whatever it's called now should only be given for the first two children. I'm sure the 'breed like rabbits' brigade would learn to read the instructions on a pack of condoms if they knew that they would have to pay for their own children and not expect others to. We have lost our 'married man's allowance' in order to give more to the prolific breeders. if people want more than 2 children, fine but why do we have to pay for them?
I'd like a brand new Ferrari, but as I can't afford one, I live without. The same should be true for children. There should be a box to tick on your tax-form asking whether you'd like your hard earned tax to go towards subsidising people who can't be bothered to use contraception...my answer would be a resounding NO!!
Coelho....you misunderstand me, I mean that this country gives money away for every child a family has...if a family has 15 children, they get 15x the money.
We have to pay for them...
Não é justo.
