child benefit?
i read in the paper that children of polish immigrants working here who remain in Poland (i.e.the children are still in Poland) are paid child benefit which is sent directly to Poland. Also that they can claim tax credits which as it is based on last year's earning, when they were still working in Poland, they are entitled to the full amount of tax credit. Surely this isn't true. Is there someone who works in the benefit agency who could enlighten us.
