Friends partner died and child benefits stopped?
My friends partner died a few weeks ago, they had a 2 year old son together and they stopped her child benefit to re calculate what she was entitled to. She works hard (she couldn't afford the time to grieve) but its not enough to raise her little boy on, the poor girl is really struggling and when she phones the benefits agency they tell her its still being processed! Surely this isn't right! She has enough on her plate without this, Christmas is coming up and she can barely afford to buy the child clothes never mind anything else. What do you think?
Well it has. I dont understand it either.

do they have child benefits in the usa..plse help as will fall out with m8 over this if not concluded!?
i say they dont give ppl a monthly child benefit payout in the usa like they do in the uk but my mate said im wrong. i do think up to a certain age that children rec medi care which allows them medical/dentist treatment but tell me if im wrong. Basically in the uk no matter how rich you are if you ahve a child you will rec child benefits...im guessing that if your rich in the usa you wont care about gettign benefits but what about the poorer ppl?
do ALL americans get it if they ahve a child or just those that fall under a certain 'income' threshold?

Child Benefits being paid to my account?
Well i'm 13 and know my mother is getting benefits for me and brother. We are twins so were both 13. I just opened a new bank accound with Natwest with my dad who told me you can now get your benefits paid straight into your account. But the benefits get paid into my mums accounts and my parents are getting a divorce so i can't get my dad to do it for me.
So i wanted to ask how do i get it paid into my account no my mums account and soon as though it my money i don't see why it should be paid into her account soon as though i can't see it coming in.
Where do i have to go to do it as well. Ami even entitled to get it.
Im not sure what account out benefits is going to either i just no i get child benefits.
Also if this helps i have an older brother but he's 17 so he's doesn't get it any more.
Thanks

Child benefits – non UK resident?
A girl I know is pregnant. She is in the UK but does not have permanent residency. She has a boyfriend who is standing by her to help support the baby, but she has not worked in the last 6 months. Her boyfriend is in the UK on an EU passport. Can she still claim child benefits?
Guys,
I don't think she should get child support as she has not been working and paying into the economy - I just want to make sure I have my facts right before telling her to get off her lazy a** and go to work

Child benefits fiasco?
I just received a letter from HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) apologising for mislaying a copy of half the country's recipients of child benefits. Does anyone know exactly how many letters they have sent in total? Serious answers only please.
